There's also a page of Fun Stuff with games and puzzles.

After surfing our website, let us know how to make it better by taking our survey.  The survey doesn't require you to submit any personal information, so it's perfectly safe.  We would also appreciate you sharing your thoughts with us and others by "signing" our guestbook.

So, who are the Parsons Dolphins anyway?

We are a competitive swim club located in southeast Kansas affiliated with both USA Swimming (a national U.S. league based in Colorado Springs, CO) and the Tri-State Swim Conference (12 full-member, and several associate member, teams from Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Kansas).

Our USA membership for this region of the U.S. is through the Missouri Valley Swimming (MVS).  Go to the LINKS  page to checkout the USA and Missouri Valley swim sites (You'll find USA, MVS-LSC and Dolphin membership and registration forms on the FORMS page).. There are various USA meets throughout the year although the Dolphins typically compete in only two or three of these meets during the winter..

Tri-State is a summer-only league with competitions held each weekend during the months of June and July ending with a two-day championship meet the first weekend in August.

Although we're an "all-year" swim team, we practice and compete in two separate seasons - summer and winter. The summer season is our most active with about 30 to 40 members practicing 2 to 3 hours each Monday through Friday and many competing at one-day or two-day Tri-State meets on the weekends.

Our winter season (October through May) has anywhere from 8 to 15 regular members who attend 1-1/2 to 2 hour practices three days a week. The winter season workouts are intended to maintain conditioning while improving upon technique.

How much does it cost to be a PDST member?

Since we have two seasons, team dues are charged separately for each season. Summer dues are $75 per swimmer for the entire season. Winter dues are billed monthly at a rate of $25 per swimmer. Families with more than one swimmer receive a discount. The Dolphins also have swimming scholarships available. Contact us for more information.

In addition to team dues, each swimmer who competes must pay meet fees to the team or club hosting the meet. These fees vary depending on the number of events a swimmer enters.

The final cost is time. For our club to be successful, we ask our swim families to invest their time and talents with the Dolphins. This is especially true when we host our invitational meet each summer and need everyone's help to pull it off.

Where do I sign-up?
